Having the opportunity to partner with Paint Track Painting in New York for Remodel for a Reason has been the biggest blessing. We can’t thank them enough for allowing us to participate in this extraordinary project to give back to those who deserve it most. This past year has been a tough one for so many people. Remodel for a Reason is a way to show our thanks and sincere gratitude to the frontline and essential healthcare workers. We also want to thank everyone who submitted a nomination. Although we can only accept two winners, please know that all the nominees and their stories inspire us here at R&J Painting.

The Winners and Their Stories

Our two winners for Remodel for a Reason are Daniel Galway and Greg & Dana Jones.

Daniel Galway
Daniel is a Security Officer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Huntley. He puts other’s needs and safety before his own. Daniel consistently stays late at work or arrives early to ensure adequate coverage to ensure patient, employee, and public safety. He also treats everyone with respect and dignity. He is an inspiration to his family, colleagues, and patients every day. Daniel would like his bedroom and media room repainted. Thank you, Daniel, for all you do, and we can’t wait to refresh those two rooms in your home.

Greg and Dana Jones
Greg has been a dedicated member of the Algonquin Fire Department for many years by serving our community, mainly through the current pandemic. His wife Dana has been a nurse at Sherman Hospital in Elgin for the last 22 years. Greg and Dana have three young boys, but they both put our community first. Through this pandemic, Greg and Dana are dealing with high-stress jobs, along with schooling their three young boys at home. Greg and Dana said, “with three young boys at home all day, pretty much any area of our home could use a fresh coat of paint.” Thank you both for putting others before yourselves every day. You’re an inspiration to us and so many other people.
